Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 09-17-2015

Denise's Daring Daydreams

Ernest Holmes wrote:  “True imagination is not fanciful daydreaming, it is fire from heaven.”  Fire from heaven.  In the Old Testament, Elijah the prophet was dealing with “issues” with the people on lack of crops and drought.  In fact, it had not rained in 3 years.  The fire from heaven that was imagined or dreamed or asked for was the lightning that comes with a rain storm.  And – in metaphysical terms fire is a purifying agent or the presence of the Christ coming into our physical being. In fact in scriptures there is a reference to the “refiner’s fire.”  Charles Fillmore states that the fire “Burns out all negative consciousness and reveals the presence of God.”    WOW!

Elijah, being a prophet of God knew that the whole universe was alive with a fire that could never go out – And – all that needed to happen was to call on that fire – to bring it down from heaven as a precursor of manifestation that would happen.  So Elijah asked for the fire – and guess what? – it came!  And the rains came and the crops grew and the people became prosperous again!  Yeah – you say.  What a great ending to a story.  And now I ask – what about your story?  My Story?  Our Spiritual Community’s story?

Your story may not be about not having food – your story may be about not having good health, or a great job, or awesome relationships.  Whatever your story – have you called down the fire?  Have you allowed yourself to dream your dream and have you asked Holy Spirit to “Rain Down on You?”  Bring the fire; bring the passion – so that I can live my purpose here on this earth! When are we going to ask for the fire?  Or greater yet – when are we going to believe in the fire that never goes out?

The fire is that passion and desire for the continuing expansion of consciousness, and “An Experience of Authentic Transformation.”  This true fire from God is the word – and the word is made flesh and dwells among us as the Spirit of the Christ nature.  Every Sunday morning towards the end of our service we sing, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.”  That song is about the fire of the Christ within each of us.  When are we going to burn so bright that others can see our good works and glory in the presence of God which they see through our bright and beaming expression in this world?

Sunday’s lesson topic is, “Growing a Dream Into A Purpose”.  What is your individual dream – and what is our collective dream as a Spiritual Community?  Have a great rest of the week – dreaming your dreams.

Denise's Daring Daydreams

Our Affirmation this Sunday is, “I move in harmony with this present moment always knowing the truth of my being.”  This thought comes from Lao-tzu and the Tao Te Ching.  The Tao is the unknowable, un-seeable realm where everything originates; while at the very same time, the Tao is invisibly within everyone and everything.  Can you see, hear and feel the similarities with our Unity concept of God?

In Unity we speak quite frequently about “being” in the Flow.  I know over the years, I have had numerous persons ask questions about what that statement really means.  I thought I understood it fairly well 20 years ago, and what I can tell you in this moment, I know much more about it today —  AND – I am still learning how to maneuver through the flow of this substance we call Living Loving Spirit.

During the months of August and September we have focused as a Spiritual Community on what true Abundance really is.  If I had to place a definition on Abundance my words in this moment would be “True Abundance is living in the flow of life with Awareness”.  With that said, I think the confusion begins to lie in the fact that we want to say God is Good – which is true.  We also want to say that Living in the Flow is good – which it is.  AND, (There’s another one of those things! I use And instead of But.  It helps me reframe the situation.) Sometimes the flow leads us through places that at first glance don’t appear to be “good.”

The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto explains that we are water, and water wants to be free to flow.  He also explained that be vibrating or being love, we can literally change the crystallization process of the water crystals.  The implications of Emoto’s work were stupendous.  Since consciousness is within and around us and we are water, then if we are out of balance with our personal intentions or who we have come here to be —  Isn’t it within the realm of possibility that our misguided vibrations can and will impact the entire planet in destructive ways?

When I think of Living in the Flow of Life with Awareness, the whole process becomes timelier to the events that are transpiring on our planet.  During this day I encourage you to be Mindful.  Drink water silently today.  Notice how it nourishes you.  Notice the places water is there for you, serving you and flowing naturally and freely.  Say a prayer of gratitude for your noticing and for allowing yourself to be aware of the flow.
