Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 5/26/16

Gandhi said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”  That one statement spurred me forward to create a year of “We Choose Peace” at Unity of Music City.  As we approach the mid-year mark, I see one of the overarching themes in our world today appears to be the growing fire of polarization fueled by anger and fed through the belief in separation.

This belief in separation is an interesting one as we continue to become a global world full of the juiciness diversity brings to the forefront. The fire of polarization grows as more and more people believe that we must agree to be kind to one other.  As that basic belief expands, we begin to be propelled from each other, kind of like two opposing magnets.

Even as I am making that statement, my personal belief is that there is also a very different energy birthing its way into our world – a growing awareness of the “Compassionate Voice of the Mother”.  This voice of the Mother lives within each of us and is spoken of in all major religions.  It is the energy of Love, Joy, Peace, and Compassion.

You may recognize the words as “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  Or, “Do not do to others what you would not want done to you.”  The word compassion is used in all major religions and you may be surprised the root:  Rahamanut in Hebrew and Rahman in Arabic literally means “the love that nourishes in the womb of the mother.”

I affirm that your Memorial Day Weekend will be full of Heavenly Food, Harmonious Fun, and Happiness in the knowledge that we have a different point of choice than the one which led to the Civil War in the mid 1800’s:

Our thoughts become our words
Our words become our actions
Our actions become our habits
Our habits become our character, and
Our character becomes our destiny.

Make your words:  We Choose Peace

Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 05/19/2016

I invite you into a TBT moment:

On April 2nd, Unity of Music City
invited Nashville to “Choose Peace”.
We did that by offering an event
which included many different
expressions of peace.

We shared our land with
“Lovers and Dreamers” of peace. We planted a Peace Pole – anchoringthe vibration of Peace into our land.

We danced, we sang, we shared, we ate we talked to each other, we prayed,
we hugged, we met new people and
we learned new things about old friends.

All these expressions rose from a belief that choosing peace gives usthe ability to share peace.
We completed the day by creatingA human peace symbol, the physical culmination of  coming together in circle as
True Believers.

Fast forward 7 weeks and we find that many of us are still living in that vibration of love, joy, and peace. We have carried that vibration into our respective lives, creating more peace in the lives of all that we touch.  From the perspective of the Law of Attraction, this vibration that is growing stronger among us is the only thing that can bring our world together as one.

Sunday is our quarterly Multigenerational Service and I am looking forward to co-creating a vibrational peace vortex with our amazing youth group led by Stefanie Jakobs and Chel Rattray.  The youth will be sharing with you what this expression of peace has created within their lives.

This will be a moment in time that you don’t want to miss.  Join us on Sunday morning ready to embrace the creative child within yourself.  “And he said:  Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 18:3

I leave you with a quote from two of our teens:  “When we are all one – we’re a masterpiece!”   Cameron Rattray and Torin Liles
