Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 04/27/17

Do you believe in Happily Ever After?

When I was growing up, my parents read to me quite a bit.  Of course that was the days before 500+ channels on the television, internet and video games.  It was a time that was slower and a bit more magical, even though as I look back now, we did not have lots of “stuff.”

As my parents read stories to me, many of them began, “Once upon a time” and those same stories ended, “and they lived happily ever after.”  Today those words still seem etched in the recesses of my mind.  Do I believe that I can have a life that is “happily ever after.”

 I, Rev. D, say, “YES!”

Last Sunday I shared with you an easy 3-step process from Edwene Gains for creating the life you want to live:

  • Step 1:  What do you want sugar?
  • Step 2:  Wrap your mind around it.
  • Step 3:  Take a step forward

This Sunday is our Quarterly Multigenerational Service.  Our Youth, along with their Youth Minister Stefanie Jakobs, will be sharing with you thoughts, words, emotions and actions relating to “Happily Ever After.”  At Unity we teach that you are a divine child of God and as that divine child, you inherit the kingdom.  The question is:  Do I believe it?

Join us Sunday morning and come with an open mind and an open heart.  You too can live a life that is “happily ever after.”

Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 04/20/2017

Let me be a #force4good in this world – each day I’ll give my best.  Have you ever asked yourself as you sing each Sunday, “How can I be sure of the force I am putting out there in the world?  How can I create the effect I want to create?”

Speaking of Creation, did you realize that there are two creation stories in Genesis, and two different versions of Creator God?

  • In Chapter 1, Elohim, God the Father (the Hebrew word for God – Divine Mind) creates the heavens and the earth in six days.  He then rests on the seventh day.  I assume he was really tired after all his hard thinking and planning.
  • In Chapter 2, Yahweh, (the energy of ‘I Am’) creates Adam from the dust; breathes into him the breath of life and places him in the Garden of Eden.  There is a very important fact in chapter 2 that many have overlooked: Have you ever read Genesis 2:4-5?
  • “The Lord (Yahweh) made the earth and the heavens and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew.  The Lord (Yahweh) had not caused it to rain and there was not yet a man to till the ground.”

Every architect and builder follows the same plan.  No contractor would just sit and pray and assume that the home he was being paid to build would miraculously appear.  Every architect or builder spends time dreaming about the structure and then goes about getting all the pieces and parts together before beginning the project.

Do you realize that the force you put out into our world is first dreamed about and planned in Divine Mind and then moved into a creation that others can begin to see, hear, and feel and proclaim “It is good!”

We affirm and sing “Let there be peace on earth” “We choose peace”  “Let me be a #force4good” and then as we look around can we say……. “It is good?”

Are you wanting to begin to learn how to work with Universal Laws?  Join us on Sunday morning as we begin some conversations that we will continue over the next few months.  We are stepping into Compassionate Action.  Are we planning those acts of compassion before we actually put our feet on the ground?

I affirm that as you step into creating compassionate actions your blessings continue to be “heaped up, pressed down, shaken together and running over.”
