Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 11/08/18

How many times have you gone to a restaurant and had something that tasted so very good that you wondered what that burst of flavor was because you knew that you would like to create the meal at home?  And how many times have you attempted to recreate that flavor and found that something was a little bit off?  Maybe the secret was in the sauce?

Just like food, the same thing goes for living “The Unity Way of Life.”  When I found Unity in 1986, I realized very quickly that something was very different in the experience I had there.  It was unlike any other spiritual experience I had had in any other setting, but I was still very unsure of what it was.  Being the student/teacher that I was, I began to dive right into Unity Classes and began to hear a whole new philosophy around living life.  To me it was like a breath of fresh air or as my grandmother would say, I took to it like a duck to water.

Over the next several years I began to read everything I could get my hands on and take as many classes and workshops that I could find.  Those experiences assisted me in making basic Unity principles my own.  Now those basic Universal principles seem so much a part of my life, I sometimes forget that others are experiencing that same “burst of flavor,” but are unsure as to what that flavor is.

I hope you will join me on Sunday morning as we discuss The Unity Way of Life: The Secret’s in the Sauce.  Our own Praise and Worship Team will be providing special music.  And of course, after the service we will have a business meeting followed by our own version of “World Café” – a time of sharing among community members that I know you will find exhilarating.  Many of us went through a similar process on Wednesday evening and were delighted about the connections we made in class.

See you on Sunday,Rev. Denise
