Denise’s Daring Daydreams for 10/06/16

The synchronicity of my life is still amazes me.  The chapter that Lunch Bunch was discussing on Wednesday was “How Little We Know.”  One of the quotes from that chapter was, “Some of our deepest convictions are based on faulty foundations.”  When I first read those words my mind began to ask, “How do we create those foundations?”  That question led me to our topic for Sunday
– The Island of What You Know.

I know that sounds like a strange lesson topic, but play with me for a moment.  The island of what you know is the result of what you’ve agreed to believe.  It is the foundation you’ve laid for the building of your life experiences.  It is the container of what you have chosen to put your faith in.

The definition of an island is isolated land surrounded by water.  When we create this “island of belief” that is specifically ours it may seem awesome in the beginning but eventually we start creating a system whereby we begin voting people off the island that do not agree.

As we continue to isolate ourselves more and more with our separation beliefs, we find that certain persons are not even allowed close.  We add obstacles that keep those with different ideas away from our island.  The sharks just might eat them before we have a chance to get a glimpse of who they really are.

I hope you choose to join us on Sunday  as we continue our walk with Beliefs and how they affect our world.  What you are experiencing right now in this very moment is the culmination of everything you have agreed to believe. Learn to change what you believe.  It changes the story of your life from one of separation to a beautiful dream of inclusion.

“He drew a circle that shut me out. Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.  But love and I had the wit to win.  We drew a circle and took him in.”                                       Edwin Markham
