Judy Blackwelder, Minister of Music at Unity of Music City, serves as pianist, arranger, conductor, and songwriter, composing music of all styles that enhances and  thematically compliments weekly and special services.

Dr. Judy holds a PhD in Music Education and has served in the music ministry of Unity of Music City for over 14 years. She is in her 36th year of teaching in the public schools of Tennessee, teaching piano and both choral and instrumental music. She was state runner-up as Outstanding Young Educator, the recipient of an HCA Foundation Award, and listed in Who’s Who of Outstanding Women Educators. Judy has performed twice at Nashville’s prestigious Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Unity congregations in more than 20 states sing her music. Published materials include “Practical Praise & Worship,” and “Spirit Connections.” Additionally, Judy has served as a presenter at The Association of Unity Churches Annual Conference and as a guest musician/clinician at The Southeast Unity Conference, The UMMAS Regional Conference, and The Music of The Heart Conference.
