Denise’s Daring Daydreams – 09/19/2013

In the Gospel of John, a ruler (a great leader) by the name of Nicodemus came to visit Jesus in the darkness.  Quite interestingly most of us come to the Christ in times of darkness in our lives.  That doesn’t mean that we are speaking to Jesus or the Christ within at nighttime in the light of the moon, What that means to me is that I don’t usually go to my own Christ nature until my ego has tried and failed and I find myself in the middle of unmanageable darkness and chaos.

Isn’t it interesting that many times we don’t pray or meditate until things get….soo bad that we can’t find a way out if the darkness.  I remember when that was the reality of my life.  I remember being in such darkness that I had a feeling that I would die.  I also remember a friend reaching out to me in love and leading me to Unity….a place where I was offered a new kind of prayer that assisted me in reaching the Christ spirit within me.

When the ruler asked Jesus, how can I inherit the kingdom of heaven…..that place of love joy and peace that Jesus had talked about over and over in many if his talks…..the answer was one that Nicodemus did not understand.  Quite frankly, I’m not sure on a good day most of us really “get” what Jesus was talking about.  YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!  What exactly does that mean!

I’m sure Nicodemus, being the intellectual leader that he was, thought that Jesus would give him a list of do’s and don’t s or some rules and procedures that would shift him right into heaven.  When Jesus gave the answer he did, all bets were off.  Now what?   What exactly did he mean?

Join us on Sunday morning as we continue the ABC’s of Practical Christianity and flow from the darkness into the light.  We also have the amazing Doug Beale sharing special music with us this Sunday.  It is going to be great Celebration Service!    Namaste’. Denise

Denise’s Daring Daydreams – 09/12/13

“Did you know that you can heal your life?”  And then you say, “I didn’t know that I was sick”  and then I say, “Well are you living the life that you want to live?….. Exactly the way that you want to live it ……   That life that is sometimes in your imagination, but ever so briefly because when you actually do spend time thinking about it, you either poo-poo it as something that will never be, or you do the same thing many others do.

Now you are asking, “what is it that many others do that you are saying that I do too?”  And then I would say, “give excuses.”  That stopped you dead in your tracks didn’t it?  My mother used to tell me I was just giving excuses and I got so upset with her.  I was soo upset that I would say to her, “You just don’t understand!”  And she would smile and pat me on the shoulder.  OOOOOooooooohhhh!  That made me mad, or so I would think.  (I know- no one can make me mad….that comes from inside me!)

All that pat really did was say to me, “I know you think I don’t understand.” Now that I am older and have done exactly the same to my own sons, I have a much broader view of that pat.  What I believe it was in reference to was this, “Honey, I get it.  I’ve given those same excuses for 30, 40, 50 years, and I was in great hopes that maybe……just maybe you would be the one in our family that would turn this ocean liner around.!”

Now how are you feeling?  Ready to stop the excuses you give for feeling stuck or saying I can’t do anything about this piece of my life?  Join myself and our ministering officers who will also join me for a portion of the lesson: You CAN Heal Your Life!…….but first you’ve got to get clear about what you VALUE!         Namaste’
